Hello Internet! As I have no followers just yet ;)
This is my very first post and as such I thought I’d give myself a little introduction. As my “about me” section says I am 29 years old, I’m originally from Las Vegas, NV but now live in Seattle, WA with my extra handsome fiance. We have 4 lovely pets, a Lab named Lucy, a Chihuahua named Gracie May and 2 cats named Sybil and Princess. I’m sure they’ll all make appearances on the blog as I’m always taking pictures of their little fuzzy faces. I’m big into everything art, I’ve been drawing and painting since I was a little kid and although I don’t have too much time/space for drawing and painting currently, I still try to make time to express my creative-ness however I can. Which brings me to the reason for the creation of this here blog.
I’ve been having my nails done at nail salons since my high school years and always enjoyed the experience of being pampered for an hour or two and coming home with a new polish color and some pretty nail art to look at. Well as the economy has slowed down over the past couple of years I’ve been going to the salon less and less, then finally had to just stop going all together. I (thankfully) have a really great job and have been earning a decent wage all thru the recession but just felt it wasn’t right to spend $60 a month on something so (let’s be honest) frivolous. Then about 6 months ago I started checking out nail blogs online and found a huge community of people doing their own nail art. As I became more into painting my own nails I then discovered KONAD and whoa mama was I hooked. I now have a fairly decent collection of polish, Konad, Bundle Monster and soon to arrive Chez Delaney image plates. So I figured why not start a modest little blog and share some of my creations, lemmings, thoughts and just general ramblings. I’m sure I’ll also talk about random things I’m interested in, good blogs I’ve found and movies I’ve seen. I won’t be reviewing the latest collections or posting any press releases, there are already lots a great blogs out there that do that. My next post (which probably won’t happen for a few days) will be of some of my previous nail looks. Some are things I’ve had done at my local nail salon and some that I’ve done myself. So with that thanks for reading!
